And, you are invited to join me in exploring grand, romantic, gestures of affection in the Guinness World Records. If stumped on what to do on Valentine’s, this article can inspire you with ideas including breaking a World Record! Say yes to being my Valentine’s, shall we?

Before we start, here’s a Valentine’s word search puzzle to get you pumped up! How long did it take to find the words?

Hottest Kiss.

Lots of kisses are shared on Valentine’s, but none is as hot as this one! Carly Waddell and Evan Bass broke the record for hottest kiss, which entailed eating habanero peppers and kissing on Bachelor in Paradise in 2016.

The duo ate habanero peppers for 30 seconds, then managed to lock lips for one minute and 41 seconds. They achieved this record on their second attempt. It wouldn’t be Valentine’s without a big old smooch!

Largest Chocolate Truffle.

Many receive chocolates on Valentine’s! But, none of these chocolates can match this chocolate truffle!

The world record for largest chocolate truffle belongs to Sweet Shop USA in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The truffle was completed on 21st April 2017 and weighed 1,074.33 kg (2,368 lb 8oz). This family owned business used this record to mark their 44th anniversary.

Using vast amounts of chocolate and a large dome – shaped mould, Sweet Shop created this treat using their popular Milk Swiss Mint Truffle recipe. After receiving an official confirmation of the record, the company took this chocolate truffle into their store for sale.

Would you buy this chocolate truffle? Or, would you rather admire it like me but, not purchase it? I love chocolate, specifically white, but a normal size will doπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Largest Teddy Bear in the world.

Nothing melts a girl’s heart like a giant, oversized, teddy bear! Guys, take notesπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

The world’s largest teddy bear measures 19.41m(63 ft 8 in) and weighs more than 4 tons(8,000 pounds).

It was constructed by organizations in Xonacatlan, Mexico, on April 28th 2019. The teddy bear was displayed at the local stadium in the city of Xonacatlan. The event was organized in honor of the country’s national day for children.

Shortest Married Couple.

Paulo Gabriel da Silva Barros and Katyucia Lie Hoshino are the world’s shortest married couple.

Paulo measures 90.28 cm(35.54 in) and Katyucia measures 91.13cm(35.88 in). They measure a combined height of 181.41 cm(71.42 in). The pair met on a social media platform on 20th Dec 2008 and tied the knot on 17th September 2016.

This goes out of the way to show us that height isn’t as important as people think! Love is!

Most Bridal Bouquets Caught.

Every bridesmaid is as eager as a bridegroom, to catch the wedding bouquet which supposedly means that you’ll be next to get married!

But, none of these bridesmaids have caught as many bouquets as Jamie Jackson! She has reportedly attended more than 100 weddings since 1996, and has caught 50 bouquets. These coveted flower catching skills have made her set a world record for catching the most bouquets.

How did Jamie catch so many bouquets? She told KSL, ” My strategy is to be right up in the front because a lot of times the brides don’t know how far they’ll throw it… I’ve had so many, many catches where I’ve had to jump for it. And I’ve hit little kids by accident. ”

Here’s a strategy waiting to be used! But, let’s scrap the kids part!

Largest Underwater Wedding.

What do you think of a “Wet Wedding Day”? Probably nothing much but a disaster, right? But not for this adventurous couple Ewa Staronska and Pawel Burkowski, who set a record for largest underwater wedding.

The wedding took place at Koparki Diving Base, Poland on 27th August 2011. It lasted 18 minutes and was led by Father Pawel Wrobel. The couple and priest communicated using water proof texts and a system of sign language.

For all water lovers outchea, here’s an idea waiting to be executed! And it doesn’t have to be a wedding, it could be an underwater date too!

Longest Marriage.

In a day when marriages begin and end with ease, Herbert and Zelmyra were a rare gem! Herbert Fisher and Zelmyra Fisher were married on 13th May 1924 in North Carolina, USA.

When Herbert died, aged 105 in February 2011, the two had 86 years, 9months, and 16 days of ‘I DO’ breaking a world record for the longest marriage. Zelmyra died in 2013, aged 105 years. How blessed it is to have 86 years with your significant other!

Zelmyra’s best Valentine’s was when Herbert left work early to cook her dinner, a surprise as Zelmyra was always the cook.

Throughout their marriage, the two best friends focused on the needs of their spouse and family. Their tips for a happy marriage is respect, support, and communication.

Zelmyra scorned at the idea of a secret to a long marriage. She says, “There isn’t any secret. It was only God who kept us together.”

Longest Chain Of Hearts.

It’s definitely a Valentine’s record!

The British Heart Foundation with the help of volunteers, marked 2018 Valentine’s by creating a chain of 17,939 pink paper hearts. Supporters wrote messages on the hearts filled with love and support for their loved ones, people battling heart disease, or in memory of those they’ve lost.

The foundation funds heart and circulatory disease research. This record attempt filled with tender yet powerful messages, is a show of standing against heart and circulatory.

We’ve come to the end of our Valentine’s fiesta! I hope that you’ve enjoyed being my Valentine’s! If you could choose one record to break, what would it be? I would feel blessed to break the longest marriage record. Feel free to engage in the comments!
